Trommel Screens

Trommel Photo 2.JPG (10029 bytes)

For over 80 years, American Pulverizer has set industry standards in material reduction.  As the originators of ring crushers, shredders and pulverizers, we have designed our products to fit your specific needs.  In an effort to further meet the demanding requirements of you operation, trommel screens have been added to the American Line.  Equip your system with these trommels and move a step closer to simplifying the disposal process of waste reduction.
American Pulverizer trommel screens are heavy duty units designed to size and classify materials such as municipal solid waste, construction debris, turnings, demolition lumber, ferrous and non ferrous scrap.  By adding a series of trommel screens to your system, you will soon see that proficiency pays.   They play a significant role in your constant attempt to cut down on landfill costs.  Screen out fines, dirt and other trash prior to final separation and you are on your way to a more economical clean up.
Standard Features:
The end members are 3/4" thick flange plate with 3/4" plate supporting ribs.
Supporting rings are a separate, renewable ring to be welded to the end pieces.
Side of the support ring is used for supporting the thrust load of the screen with a vertically mounted thrust wheel.
Drum ends are constructed of carbon steel rolled into shape.
Drum ends are connected by structural T shapes or angles.
Drum is supported on 4 trunnion wheels - two (2) at each end.
Trunnion wheels are mounted on anti-friction roller bearings.
Vertically mounted thrust wheel with heavy-duty tapered roller bearings limit travel of drum.
Complete structure will be mounted on an integral frame.
Drum can be driven by the trunnion wheel(s) or by a wrap chain
Dual Synchronous drives are available as an option.
