Manufacturers of
steel products, such as: bar, structural, sheet, plate, tubing and
coil have raised prices significantly over the past several months.
Higher raw material costs, lower steel imports and higher global
demand are several reasons why steel prices are increasing.
FMC Technologies
has absorbed these higher steel costs along with higher freight
costs but now must implement a surcharge. Effective June 1, 2008
there will be a surcharge of 4.7% on all FMC Technologies
products on this website. Since our suppliers have indicated
the likelihood of continued rising steel prices, the surcharge will
be reviewed and adjusted monthly until prices stabilize.
FMC Technologies
values our customers and will continue to look for ways to minimize
the impact of these higher costs to you. In the meantime, we will
maintain our high standards by providing reliable and quality
products; along with strong support from our technical, sales,
service and customer service groups.
All joggers on this
website are subject to a temporary 4.7% material surcharge.
This surcharge will be discontinued and FMC will implement a price increase of
7.8% on all jogger products effective August 1. |
